Explicit Consent

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This text covers the processing activities that the Data Protection Notice says are based on explicit consent. All other processing relies on the legal grounds listed in that notice.

By ticking the relevant box on the sign-up screen, I give my explicit consent to:

  1. Special categories of personal data: the processing of special-category personal data that I may choose to share when talking about what is on my mind — such as health (including mental health), sex life, religion or belief — for the purpose of hosting it in my posts, comments and profile, showing it to the people I choose or to other users, and having it reviewed by moderators if it is reported; and
  2. Transfers abroad: where the appropriate safeguards in Article 9 of the KVKK cannot be provided and the conditions for occasional transfer are not met, the transfer to Google servers abroad of the data needed to provide Sign in with Google, Google Play billing, advertising (AdMob), push notifications and robot checks (reCAPTCHA) — email address, subscription information, device and app information.

2. Nothing You Don’t Share Is Visible

On Tichodex, other users only see what you choose to share. This consent cannot be used to go beyond that promise.

  • Other users can’t see: your email address, password, phone or device, IP address, location, sign-in times, subscription and payment details, who you message, who you’ve blocked or your reports.
  • Other users can only see: your username, your mode (“I Need to Talk” / “I Help Out”), the details you add to your profile yourself (photo, city, age, profession, bio), the posts and comments you share, and your “Solved My Problem” count. With a private account, only followers you approve see your posts.
  • Your messages are visible only to the people in the chat. They travel over an encrypted connection and are stored on our servers with restricted access; authorised moderators review them only if a chat is reported or the law requires it.
  • Location (GPS) and other hidden details are removed from your photos on your device before upload.
  • Your information is not sold, not used for advertising and not opened to other users. What the authorities may see, and when, is set out in the Data Protection Notice; beyond that, none of your personal information is disclosed.

We recommend that you don’t include your identity, address or phone details in what you share; sharing them is also against the Community Guidelines.

3. Free Will and Withdrawal

Giving explicit consent is not mandatory; if you don’t give it, you can’t use the sharing features that may involve special-category data or the Google services. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to support@tichodex.com or by deleting your account. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that date.
